The National Future of Education Technology Conference (FETC 2022) is Tuesday, January 25 – Friday, January 28… next week! Aside from the fact I’m in the midwest, so Orlando, FL in January sounds wonderful, I’m so looking forward to making new connections, learning from other educators, and doing a couple of presentations of my own!
If you are also heading to Florida for FETC 2022, I’d love to connect in person and put a face to a name (or more likely, a Twitter handle). Below is where you can find me when I’m not going into sessions.
My Presentations:
Bring Your PD a “Spark of Joy” on Wednesday, 1/26 at 9:30 AM – 10:15 AM in room South 319 with Jillian DuBois, and Emily Cowan. Hear from current and former educators (Jill and Emily) who have used Edge•U Badges, an anytime anywhere micro-credential program for educators. Edge•U has over 200 individual badges educators can earn to teach them edtech skills and strategies. Plus, at the end of the school year, you are rewarded with PD hours or grad credit! Teachers call the program “a spark of joy,” “addicting,” and “ahead of its time!” I’m excited to share more about this program that my team at Forward Edge created with the educators at FETC 2022. In full disclosure, this one is a paid sponsor session.
Building Relationships to Take Technology Integration Deeper on Friday, 1/28 at 10:00 – 10:45 AM in room North 220 AB. Building relationships is the key to being a successful coach, yet so little training is provided on this soft, but crucial, skill. This interactive session will share trade secrets to building relationships with teachers and administrators, as well as working with reluctant teachers to make your work as a coach more meaningful!
Exhibit Hall
Booth 109. We will also have a booth for Edge•U Badges that I’ll be popping in and out of.
Other Stuff From My Colleagues
There are a number of other presentations from my coaching colleagues and our cybersecurity team at Forward Edge, including one of the top 10 can’t miss sessions at FETC 2022! If you’ve been tasked with looking into data privacy and cybersecurity solutions for your school, check out Booth 108 in the expo hall.
What are you most looking forward to learning if you’re going? What can I share with you when I get back if you’re not going?
Tech To You Later!
