Blogging Buddies via ISTE’s Ed Tech Coaches PLN

ISTE’s Ed Tech Coaches PLN is introducing Blogging Buddies: a place for edtech coaches (and those tasked with helping teachers integrate technology) to connect, network and learn from other coaches via blogging!

Many ed tech coaches value blogging as a form of personal growth and reflection in their practice, but don’t always receive that online feedback in the form of comments from our coaching peers that we’re hoping for. Blogging Buddies groups will be made up of about 5 ed tech coaches bloggers who come together to commit to posting on their blog at least once a month, read one another’s blogs, comment on one another’s blogs, and share the posts with their own networks.  That’s it!

There are only three guidelines to participate in Blogging Buddies.

  1. Blog at least once per month.
  2. Offer feedback in the form of blog comments to all others in your group on at least one of their posts per month (feel free to comment on other Ed Tech Coaches blogs participating in Blogging Buddies, but who aren’t in your group).
  3. Discourse is encouraged, rudeness is not allowed. It is okay to disagree with one another (how else will we grow?), but this should ultimately be an encouraging experience. If you find yourself getting heated on any particular topic, remember the LARA method– Listen (or read, in our case), Affirm, Respond, Add.
